“How to Prepare a Social Worker in the Field of Communication” A Distinctive Training Program at Helwan University

As part of Helwan University's Faculty of Social Work's efforts to support various disciplines and prepare students for the job market, the Faculty of Social Work organized a unique training program entitled “How to Prepare a Social Worker in the Field of Communication,” under the patronage of Dr. Sayed Kandil, President of the University, Dr. Zaghloul Abbas Hassanein, Dean of the Faculty of Social Work, and Dr. Safaa Khudair, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Ata, Director of the Research and Leadership Training Center affiliated with the Faculty of Social Work Agency for Community Service and Environmental Development. The program aimed to provide trainees with basic knowledge of speech therapy, train them in assessment and diagnosis, and prepare effective treatment plans. It also aimed to rely on modern tools and methods in speech therapy, in addition to establishing positive attitudes towards the professional and ethical practice of speech therapists in line with approved scientific and professional standards.
The program was taught by a select group of faculty members, including Dr. Sayed Fath, Assistant Professor of Special Education at the Faculty of Education, Helwan University; Dr. Hend Eid Ali Hassan, Lecturer in the Department of Special Education at the Faculty of Education, Helwan University; and Amira Eid Adam, Teaching Assistant in the Department of Special Education at the Faculty of Education, Helwan University.
The university is keen to organize these programs based on its social responsibility towards society, as they contribute to integrating people with special abilities into society by preparing specialists capable of dealing with them. The university also works to link the academic and practical aspects and develop students' abilities and skills.
