Implementing the decisions of the college council regarding the department.
Implementing and following up on the decisions of the department council.
Supervising the preparation of the department's research plan and monitoring its implementation.
Supervising the management of the department's educational, research, administrative, financial and cultural affairs.
Proposal to distribute lectures, lessons, and other university work among the faculty members of the department.
Preparing proposals for secondment to teach from outside the college and presenting them to the department council.
Maintaining order within the department and informing the college administration of anything that might affect the smooth running of the department.
Presenting the department council's viewpoint when considering matters presented to the college council.
Overseeing the administrative, academic, and research development of the department.
Coordinating and developing the department's relationships within and outside the university.
