These projects adopted by the Faculty of Education at Helwan University reflect the Faculty’s commitment to innovation, community service, and contributing to building advanced educational strategies that keep pace with the requirements of the times, both locally and internationally.
This bright journey comes through the support and wise leadership of His Excellency Professor Dr. Hossam Hamdy - Dean of the College, who believes in the pivotal role of the college as a key driver of educational development at the local and international levels.
Based on this leading role, the college participates, through a distinguished group of its professors and researchers, in a range of distinguished projects that vary between national initiatives and international partnerships.

"ACTIVE - ATS" project:
The Faculty of Education is proud of the outstanding scientific contribution made by a select group of professors from the Faculty of Education at Helwan University, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Rasha Sharaf – Professor of Comparative Education and International Education – in the ambitious international project “Advanced Teacher Competencies to Improve Vocational Education in Applied Technology Schools”. (ACTIVE – ATS)
This project was implemented during the period from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024 within the framework of an international partnership between Helwan University, Hamok University in Finland, and a German company, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
The college professors were a key pillar of the research team, contributing their profound academic expertise to enrich the project's content and achieve its lofty goals of creating a real breakthrough in the field of preparing and qualifying teachers of applied technology schools.
The project was undertaken by a select group of faculty members from the College of Teaching, namely: Prof. Dr. Rasha Sharaf, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamal, Dr. Enas Al-Qadi, Dr. Iman Esmat, Assoc. Nouran Saleh, Assoc. Nourhan Bahaa, Marwa Saeed, and Ahmed Rabie.
The work focused on improving the quality of vocational and technical education and preparing a generation of students capable of innovation and competition in the labor market and keeping pace with the requirements of the fourth and fifth industrial revolutions.
This serious participation reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Education at Helwan University to its national and pioneering role in supporting national projects aimed at developing the educational system in Egypt and raising it to global standards

As part of the 2021 Scientific Research Celebration held by the university to encourage scientific research and international publication, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mahdi, Acting President of the University, Professor Dr. Mona Fouad Attia, Acting Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Professor Dr. Hossam Al-Rifai, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

The college won one of the funded research projects entitled: “Training student teachers on how to use wearable technology in measuring executive functions”, which was submitted by Dr. Dina Samir Makki, a lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology.
In this regard, the Dean and the entire Faculty of Education extend their congratulations, sincere thanks, and appreciation to Dr. Dina Samir, her team, and everyone who contributed to this achievement.
